Rebecca Deng knows the perils of the Lost Boys of Sudan’s journey. She experienced it herself when she fled her village in South Sudan for the Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya. In this video she reflects on the impact of the film from her own perspective as a child refugee who eventually traveled to the United States as a young teenager.

Rebecca now works with American Bible Society’s Trauma Healing ministry to advocate for other people who have experienced the trauma of war, abuse and natural disaster. Through her work, she shares how the words of Scripture can bring healing and hope after devastation. You can read more of Rebecca’s story here.
