Dr. Kara Lyons-Pardue

Kara Lyons-Pardue is Associate Professor of New Testament at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego. She earned her Ph.D. in Biblical Studies at Princeton Theological Seminary and is an ordained minister in the Church of the Nazarene. Kara's research, writing, and speaking focus on the Gospels (particularly Mark), women in the New Testament, Paul's Letter to Philemon, and theological and justice-seeking interpretation of Scripture. She loves to explore the world with her favorite travel buddies, her husband Charlie and their two little daughters.
