I've always gotten a kick out of the "Dilbert" comic strip. Cynical and indifferent about life, Dilbert, a middle-aged engineer, navigates everyday mishaps in his office—often stemming from interactions with his micromanaging boss.

As I follow Dilbert through each scenario, I can't help but laugh. And sometimes, I can't help but relate. Why? Because every workplace has its "Dilbert moments"—head-scratching events that make us feels stressed, overwhelmed or undervalued. Have you navigated one of these moments recently?

Maybe you lack motivation because your boss recently criticized your work in front of your co-workers. Maybe you worked 15 hours of overtime last week and nobody seems to care about your unmanageable workload. Maybe you feel worthless because your boss constantly favors a co-worker. Maybe you're considering a new job because you're tired of saying, "of course!" when you really want to say, "that's so unfair!"

In these moments, you can turn to God's Word for peace, hope and perseverance. These five Bible verses will get you started:

Isaiah 40:31 (GNTD)

But those who trust in the Lord for help will find their strength renewed. They will rise on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not grow weak.

Philippians 4:6-7 (GNTD)

Don't worry about anything, but in all your prayers ask God for what you need, always asking him with a thankful heart. And God's peace, which is far beyond human understanding, will keep your hearts and minds safe in union with Christ Jesus.

1 Peter 5:6-7 (GNTD)

Humble yourselves, then, under God's mighty hand, so that he will lift you up in his own good time. Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.

John 16:33 (GNTD)

I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!

Psalm 55:22 (GNTD)

Leave your troubles with the Lord, and he will defend you; he never lets honest people be defeated.
